Corrosion Inhibitor

The Phosphates of Di-n-Butylamine are used as Corrosion inhibitor in hydraulic fluids with castrol oil base.

Other Application

As a Catalyst in the manufacture of Hydrogen Peroxide.

Storage

Can be handled in safe manner in closed containers for a long period. Avoid contact with copper and its alloys. DnBA drums should be stored in a cool and well ventillated area, away from sources of ignition.

Health & Safety

Di-n-Butylamine is irritating to skin,eyes and mucous membrane. In case of contact, affected area should be washed with plenty of water atleast for 15 minutes. A dilute solution of Acetic Acid (2%) should be used to neutralize the Amine. Continuous inhalation of fumes should be avoided.In event of inhalation, victim should be moved to fresh air and oxygen should be administered. In case of ingestion, victim should be made to consume copious quantity of milk and water. A medical practitioner should be consulted at once.
Personal protective equipment should always be used while handling.
